The hospital would cater to the healthcare needs of around five lakhs residents living in West, North-West and adjoining districts, said Arun Baroka, Principal Secretary (PWD).
"All necessary formalities have been completed and the work is likely to start in September this year. The hospital would be ready by March, 2017. The hospital would cater to the health need of the residents of West, North-West and adjoining districts," said Arun Baroka, Principal Secretary (PWD).
The Hospital will come up on a 60,000 sqm plot area and will consist of broadly 3 building blocks, namely emergency block, out patient department block and ward block.
"Base isolation technology shall be used in order to keep building operational even after earth quake. Basement will house approximately 1600 cars parking apart from surface parking along with various electrical services. There is provision of cobalt and linear- accelerator for radio therapy," said Baroka.
The hospital will provide all clinical services like diagnostics and treatment facilities, intensive care service (total of 80 beds are allocated for ICU), emergency services will comprise of facilities for examination, resuscitation, observation, and operation complex of two OT for surgical and maternity cases.
