Delhi govt school students shine in CBSE class 12 exam

Nikita Dahiya, who scored 96.6 per cent marks in her class 12 examination, wants to be a geographer, while Naman Gupta, another student from a government school in Nazafgarh here, aims to be a doctor.

Dahiya and Gupta are among the CBSE class 12 toppers from government schools of the city.

Joining the league of government school students who scored excellent in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) class 12 examination this year are Sana from Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalya (SKV), Jama Masjid area and Gyan Kaur from SKV, Ramesh Nagar, with 97.6 per cent and 97 per cent marks, respectively.

"I want to study Geography Honours and want to be a geographer," an elated Dahiya told PTI.

Proud about his son's performance, Gupta's father said, "My daughter had scored 95 per cent marks in class 12 three years ago. Now he has made us proud. He has his medical entrance exam on Sunday. I hope he performs the same there as well and becomes a doctor."
