Delhi government has proposed to provide various services of the Revenue Department including income, marriage, and caste certificates at the doorstep of citizens.
The proposal, conceptualised by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, will soon be tabled in a Cabinet meeting for getting its nod.
The government has sought suggestions and comments from Revenue Department to implement the 'Door Step Delivery of Public Services'.
"As of now, people have to go to SDM offices for various services like marriage, income, caste certificates among others.
"As per the proposal, people won't be required to visit SDM offices for the same. Such services will be provided at the doorstep of people," said a senior government official.
Although the department is presently providing e-district services, applicants are required to visit its district offices for the verification of documents.
However, as per the proposals of 'Door Step Delivery of Public Services' people don't need to visit SDM offices for such verification.
