The decision to organise the job fair was taken at a meeting chaired by Employment Minister Gopal Rai. Representatives of private companies were also present at the meeting.
About 100 private companies are expected to participate in the job fair. They would be screening the jobseekers, registered on the fair's web portal, which was launched recently, Rai said in a statement.
The Employment department said a job fair for the Divyang (differently-abled persons) was held on March 17-18, in which 11 private companies participated and 112 jobseekers were shortlisted.
