Delhi government will seek a fund of around Rs 9,000 crore for April-June through a vote-on- account to run their several schemes in city.
Vote-on-account budget will be passed in the Delhi Assembly session to be held on March 24-25.
"We will seek fund of around Rs 9,000 crore by tabling vote-on-account," said a senior government official.
In vote on account budget, government will make a provision of fund to continue electricity subsidy which will come to an end this month.
"The financial year will come to an end this month and thereafter, government needs funds to run its several public welfare schemes that's why we will seek funds through vote-on- account for next three months," the official said.
Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal had recently announced that people would make their budget on their own and this experiment will be carried out in a few constituencies.
Government wants to give some time to send their suggestions on budget due to which it will table the budget in June.
