Delhi job summit: 142 disabled youths among 214 shortlisted

142 differently-abled youths were today shortlisted for jobs with multi-national companies (MNCs) on the first day of 11-day long job summit organised by the Delhi government.
They were among a total 214 youths to have been shortlisted for jobs by eight MNCs and other companies, a senior official of Delhi government said.
The shortlisted differently-abled youths were selected by eight MNCs during the first day of the job summit held at District Employment Centre on Pusa Road.
72 youths were shortlisted by companies at other employment centres, he said.
The jobs offered to the shortlisted candidates, included the posts of financial planning adviser, housekeeping, tele caller, data entry operator, security guard, attendant, helper, driver and peon.
Twenty five private companies were approached to participate in the job summit to offer jobs to unemployed youth, Delhi government's Labour Minister Gopal Rai said.
The concluding session of the job summit will be held at Civil Lines in North Delhi on August 11, the official said.
