When ensuring safe commute of lakhs of people in Delhi-NCR gets stressful, Delhi Metro's director of operations Sarat Sharma heads out to travel.
And, his camera is his constant company, besides his wife of course.
A collection of over 100 photographs from many such travels undertaken over the past three decades, are part of an upcoming exhibition, "Aham Brahmasmi" at the Visual Arts Gallery at India Habitat Centre here.
"Photography is a passion and cathartic release for me."
"It is a stress buster that taught me patience and the need to excel in a quest for perfection... personally and professionally," he said.
An engineer by profession, Sharma leads the team operating the Delhi metro that carries over 28 lakh passengers daily.

The exhibition, scheduled to begin on November 8, comes after two similar shows, all curated by Sharma's wife Kamalnaini.
According to the couple, the show is inspired by India's philosophy, which believes 'the soul is infinite'.
"The deep compassion embedded therein, embraces the entire humanity as one family -- 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' and seeks happiness for all -- 'Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah'," Sharma said.
"We hope that the photographs challenge the viewer to transcend the trivialities of geographies, religions and economic stature, and embrace the world as one entity," he added.
Although the photographs are largely clicked in India, a few from the couple's visit to Bhutan, Russia, Canada and the United States of America, are also part of the show, to give a sneak peek into their next exhibition that will explore the "harmony of the East and the West".
The proceeds from the sale of works at the shows go to several charitable institutions including 'Helping Hand 4 Cancer Care', 'HelpAge India', 'Salaam Balak Trust', 'Ramakrishna Mission Students Home', 'Alzheimer's and Related Disorders Society of India', 'National Defence Fund', 'Jesu Ashram' and 'National Association for the Blind' and others.
The show is set to continue till November 11.
