ASI Joginder Lakhra and his female friend were shot multiple times, police said, adding that the incident came to light this morning after a passerby saw one of the bodies lying at the back door of the office.
Initial investigation revealed that the office space where the bodies were found was owned by Lakhra, who had rented it out to a real estate developer.
Police said the accused -- Jeet Dahiya and Sandeep Singh -- were arrested from Rohini. They were partners with Lakhra in organising dance events and gambling activities.
According to the police, the accused were arrested with the help of human and technical intelligence.
"The accused, along with their friends, went to the real estate firm's office and fired multiple rounds on him and the woman. She was killed because she was witness to his murder," said M N Tiwari, DCP, Rohini District.
It is suspected that more people were involved and police is on the lookout for them.
