The constable identified as Ankit Kumar was allegedly driving in an inebriated state, said a senior Delhi Police Official.
"Ankit Kumar was shot at by a security personnel with Nagaland Police after his car crashed into AIR's locked gate and entered the premises.
"The security guard had presumed the car occupants to be terrorists and thus shot the driver. The incident happened at around 3 AM," said the official.
"Kumar was driving in an inebriated condition. He received a bullet on the left side of his chest and was rushed to LNJP Hospital. His condition is now stable," said the official.
A case has been registered against Kumar at the Timarpur Police Station.
