The helpline 9910641064, of the Vigilance Branch was launched on August 6.
According to police, in the first incident, a video clipping received on the helpline purportedly was of a police official of the rank of ASI, taking money from the complainant in lieu of police verification at Himmat Garh Police Post.
"On August 8, the complainant gave a written complaint to the Vigilance Branch in the matter. As per the complaint, ASI Tuki Singh from Hauz Qazi police station, Himmat Garh police post, took Rs 400 from the complainant. He (the complainant) recorded the conversation of ASI Singh on his mobile phone while he was accepting bribe from him. An FIR has been registered with the Vigilance Branch and the matter is under investigation," a senior police officer, said.
"As per content of the audio recording received at the vigilance, some police personnel of Ranjeet Nagar Police station are demanding bribe from the complainant for allowing him to run his shop in Main Market Ranjeet Nagar. The audio recording is from August 21, 2013," he said.

"In the month of September 2013, head constable Kuldeep Tyagi took Rs 25,000 from a complainant for not sealing his shop on the order of the court. All the conversations made with Tyagi was recorded in the mobile of the complainant," he said, adding, "it was then send through the helpline using WhatsApp".
"After negotiations, the constables finally agreed to take a monthly of Rs 300. The conversation was also recorded on the mobile of the complainant. An FIR has been registered in this regard and further investigation is underway," the officer added.
