Delhi's maximum temperature 41.6 Celsius

Intense heat wave conditions continued unabated in the national capital making it tough for Delhiites who also bore the additional brunt of long power outages in some areas.
The maximum temperature was recorded at 41.6 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average, while the minimum temperature settled at 30.7 degrees Celsius, three notches above the normal, said a Met Department official.
"The Safdarjung observatory, the reading of which is considered as the official figure for the city, recorded a maximum temperature of 41.6 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average.
"The Palam observatory registered a maximum temperature of 44.2 degrees Celsius," said the Met official.

According to India Meteorological Department (IMD) Director BP Yadav, the day temperature is not expected to rise for the next two three days, though it will hover above the 40 degree mark because of the Cyclone Roanu in west central Bay of Bengal.
The humidity level oscillated between 61 per cent and 42 per cent.

The MeT office has forecast clear skies for tomorrow.
"The skies will be mainly clear. Dusty haze is likely to occur towards morning and evening.
""The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover at 41 degree Celsius and 29 degree Celsius," the Met Forecast said.

Yesterday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 41.5 degrees Celsius while the minimum had settled at 31.2 degrees.
