Delhi, who finished ninth in the last edition, outclassed Tamil Nadu 80-65 in the Group A league tie at the Rajiv Gandhi stadium. Narendar sparkled for the winners scoring 23 baskets.

Results: Boys: Punjab 56 (Kushmeet Singh 12, Gurvinder Singh 16) beat Madhya Pradesh 53 (Jeetandra 12).

Delhi 80 (Narendar 23, Nikhil 16) beat Tamil Nadu 65 (Karthikeyan 29, Arun Prasanth 13); Chandigarh 47 (Navidit Singh 16, Rajeet 11) beat Himachal 37 (S Balu 17, Shaukh 10);

Haryana 91 (Himanshu 32, Rajesh 16) beat West Bengal 70 (D Sahu 25, S Joshi 17);
