Delhi: Sunny, cloudy day; drop in mercury but no rain in sight
Press Trust of India New Delhi It was sunny and cloudy in patches in the national capital today with slight drop in mercury which failed to offer relief to Delhiites who are reeling under heat wave conditions with no rainfall in sight.
The maximum temperature today settled three notches above the season's average at 41.7 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 31.6 degrees Celsius, four notches above the normal, MeT department officials said.
Humidity in air oscillated between 51 and 32 per cent.
A partly cloudy skies has been predicted for tomorrow.
"The skies will be partly cloudy tomorrow. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover at 41 and 31 degrees respectively," the weatherman said.
Yesterday, the maximum temperature was recorded three degrees above the season's average at 42.4 degrees Celsius while the minimum was recorded at 30 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal for this time of the season.
