The permanent campus of the centre would be set up at Jonapur in South Delhi and it will impart skill development training on a par with the best of such institutes in the country, Dikshit said.
"This centre will have the capability of training approximately 15,000 youths per year and will contribute towards making Delhi a skill hub," she said.
"My government is committed to make it the best skill development centre in the country," she said.
"As India moves towards becoming a knowledge economy, it becomes increasingly important that its policies and programmes focus on skill development," she said.
Dikshit said her government has given a very high priority to address the challenge of skill development.
