With a view to make its personnel more people-friendly, Delhi Traffic Police today organised a day-long workshop for them on soft skills, stress management and how to deal with incidents such as road rage.
A series of training programmes has been planned by Delhi Police which will be attended in batches of 55 personnel.
The workshops, which are being organised by Delhi Police's training wing, will aim to cover maximum police personnel including those belonging to the traffic unit.
"Traffic Police is an important unit of the Delhi Police... They need to show exemplary behaviour while discharging their duties and set an example for others, Special Commissioner of Police (Training) Kishan Kumar said.
Special CP (Admin) Vimla Mehra, who also attended the workshop, emphasised on the need to be considerate and sensitive while dealing with public.
The first round of training will be followed by a secondary round of advance courses for selected personnel who are identified for further counseling and special attention.
