The move aims at providing last mile connectivity to tourists and individual in the city.
Delhi Transport department announced a scheme to rent motorcycle. Licenses will be issued for motorcycles which can be hired for use by individuals and tourists, official said.
"These will be commercially registered and given contract carriage permit. Licensee should have minimum of five motorcycles with office space of 150 square feet," a senior official of Transport department said.
A similar facility is available in Goa, where tourist can rent a motorbike for a day against the payment of daily charge.

However, Transport department claims that they declined the proposal of "bike taxi" services in the city citing security reason of pillion driver.
As per the Tourism department's plan, bikes will be available on a rent at metro stations, ISBTs and railway stations and important places across the capital.
According to the plan, tourists will be required to submit their identity at bike counters and thereafter, they would be given the bike on rent.
Official claims that Transport department will notify the proposal by the end of this month.
