Gusty winds and light rains were witnessed by Delhiiites on Tuesday morning even as the mercury settled at six notches above normal with the weatherman predicting thunderstorm during night.
"The maximum temperature was recorded at 30.7 degrees Celsius, six notches above normal while the minimum settled at 20.5 degrees Celsius, a notch below normal," a MeT office said.
While 1.1 mm rainfall was recorded till 8.30 AM, the MeT office recorded 0.2 mm rainfall till 5.30 PM.
The humidity levels oscillated between 83 and 47 per cent.
The temperatures are expected to drop on Wednesday as the weatherman has forecast cloudy skies and the gusty winds to continue during the day.
The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 36 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature may touch 28 degrees Celsius.

The Met department attributed the change in the temperatures to a western disturbance that will have an impact over several parts of north India, including the national capital.
According to the nowcast issued by IMD's Regional Meteorological Centre here, several parts of the Delhi-NCR, including Noida and Gurgaon, are likely to witness thunderstorm, light rainfall and gusty winds with a speed of up to 50kmph.
The forecast is valid till 8:30pm, the IMD said.
Earlier Tuesday, several of the national capital areas witnessed light rainfall with gusty winds.
