It was a hot day in the national capital on Thursday, with the maximum temperature settling at 38.2 degrees Celsius, four notches above the season's average.
The relative humidity level in the city oscillated between 60 and 79 per cent, a Meteorological Department official said.
The minimum temperature in the city was recorded at 29.2 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average.
On Wednesday, the capital city had recorded a high of 38.1 degrees Celsius, three notches above normal, and a low of 28.2 degrees Celsius.
