It was sultry day in the national capital today even as strong winds offered some respite to the residents in the evening.
The Safdarjung observatory, whose reading is considered as the official figure for the city, recorded the maximum temperature for the day at 39.5 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the year.
The minimum temperature settled at 25.8 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's average, a MeT department official said.
The humidity level oscillated between 86 and 45 per cent.
The MeT predicted partly overcast conditions, along with light rains, for tomorrow.
"The skies will be partly cloudy. Light rain and thundershowers are likely to occur in some areas towards evening and night.
"The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 38 and 26 degrees Celsius, respectively," the weatherman said.
Yesterday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 37.3 degrees Celsius while minimum settled at 28 degrees Celsius.
