The citizens experienced the summer heat as the maximum climbed to 39.8 degree Celsius, one degree above normal and up from the comfortable 34.8 degrees recorded yesterday. The minimum was at 26.4 degree Celsius, the same as yesterday's.
The Weatherman has predicted much hotter days in the days to come. Tomorrow, the temperature could rise to 42 degree Celsius, the MeT office said.
The humidity was recorded between 16 and 45 per cent.
Weather in the capital has been pleasant since Saturday when heavy showers lashed the national capital bringing cheers to denizens who were reeling under intense heat.
