Delhiites sweat it out again with high humidity levels

Delhiites had to again sweat it out today with humidity level almost touching 90 per cent even as mercury remained below the 40 degrees mark.
Although mercury levels in the city continued to remain below the 40 degree mark but high humidity, which has been the norm since the last several days due to intermittent rains, made life tough for the citizens.
While the day temperature at Safdarjung observatory, considered the official reading of the city, settled at 38.1 degrees Celsius, which was one notch above normal, maximum temperature at Palam observatory was registered at 39.4 degree Celsius.
Maximum temperature at Ayanagar settled at 38.6 degree Celsius while at Ridge it was recorded at 39.5 degree Celsius.

The minimum temperature recorded this morning was 25.3 degree celsius, three notches below normal.
No rainfall was received in the city during the day, MeT department said.

Yesterday, the maximum was recorded at 39 degrees celsius and the minimum settled 26.5 degrees Celsius.
Asked about tomorrow's forecast, a MeT department official said, "There will be a partly cloudy sky and light rains and thunderstorms could occur in some areas of the city".
"The maximum and minimum may settle at 39 and 27 degrees, respectively," he added.
