Delhiites wake up to light rainfall, humid weather

Light rainfall was recorded in parts of the national capital this morning with the humidity level settling at 80 per cent, causing discomfort to people.
"Till 8:30 AM, rainfall occurred in some areas with Safdarjung Observatory posting 0.8 mm and Palam recording 18.4 mm of rains. Ayanagar, Lodhi Road and Ridge stations recored 17 mm, 3 mm and 2.6 mm of rain respectively," a MeT Department official said.
The minimum temperature stands at 26.4 degrees Celsius while the maximum is expected to be 35 degrees Celsius," he said.
The humidity level will increase towards the night, the official said.
The weatherman has predicted a generally cloudy sky, with rain and thundershowers toward the evening and night for today.
The city had yesterday recorded the maximum temperature of 32.8 degrees Celsius, and a minimum of 29 degrees Celsius.
