Deloitte, KPMG, PWC and four others have been empanelled by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for conducting audit of information systems of the central bank.

The other agencies are, AAA Technologies, Auditime, Digital Age Strategies and Mahindra SSG.

"With reference to our Expression of Interest (EOI) sought for 'Empanellment of Firms for Conducting Information Systems/ Information Technology (IS/IT) Audit' within the Bank, we advise the...(seven) firms have been included in the panel for conducting Information Systems/Information Technology Audit...," the Reserve Bank said.

The panel will remain valid for a period of three years, in normal course, subject to the condition that the firms/ individuals continue to be on the panel of approved auditors released by the CERT-In (Indian Computer Emergency Response Team), it said.

The broad scope of work includes security assessments/ reviews of — application, network, operating systems, databases, source code and System Development Life Cycle, among others.

The objective of the EOI was to "prepare a panel of professionals, professional firms... To conduct comprehensive IS/IT Audits/ reviews including assessments with regard to international best practices /standards/ frameworks...," the central bank had said.

The EOI, was "for empanellment only, the actual job allocation will be a dynamic time to time activity (based on a bidding process among eligible empanelled firms)".
