Kalam is "a great inspiration to our youth and beloved of masses," said Anwar Raja while raising the issue.
He said Kalam's belongings were "bundled out" from his bungalow in the national capital after his death.
Even the "small" Delhi government is setting up a knowledge park as a tribute to Kalam, Raja said and criticised the "mighty" central government for not taking any praise-worthy measure.
Members from many opposition parties, including Congress and TMC, supported his demand.
