"The Centre's demonetisation move was not well executed and no preparations were made for it. There is no money in ATMs. People are standing in queues throughout the day. Traders, farmers and poor are feeling its adverse effect," he said at a party rally here.
The people of the state will give them a befitting reply during elections, he said.
"Demonetisation has had no effect on those keeping black money," he asserted.
Mulayam praised performance of the present government saying "historic works were done in the present regime" and added that while "Congress and BJP were taking country backward, SP government is following the path of development."
The SP supremo also praised former ministers sacked by son Akhilesh and said they were doing good work.
SP state president Shivpal Yadav also addressed the rally.
