Talking to reporters here, the minister of State for Road Transport, Highways and Shipping, said through demonetisation the Prime Minister has come out with a decisive measure to save the country and take the nation on "excellent" economic path.
Accepting that "there were certain difficulties for the peoplewhile implementing the demonetisation measure", he said "peopleare however bearing the pain for the larger gain to the nation and for its economic development."
On the allegation by Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi that he (Gandhi) has information on "personal corruption" by the Prime Minister in the demonetisation matter, Radhakrishnan said that "Rahul Gandhi is a responsible Parliamentarian and hence he should come out with what he really has to say and what corruption charge he has to disclose against the Prime Minister".
On disputes in sharing Cauvery river water among riparian states, he said "the best way to bring to an end to the river water disputes is to nationalise the rivers".
