She said this while addressing the students at Delhi University's Hindu College, her alma mater where she inaugurated the botanical society, Sanjeevni.
"The government is taking various steps to promote a scientific culture in the science laboratories. Scientists also need to move towards patenting their inventions and demonetisation will be helpful in getting more funds for research in the country," said Lekhi.
