Dempo defense gave a good account of themselves as they brought effective saves to stopped Muranda and Yusa from scoring.
On their part, Dempo also came up with constructed moves with Roberto Silva and Billy Mehmet combining well with the former setting Mehmet twice inside the goal but the latter failed to get past goalkeeper Shilton Paul.
Both the teams slowed down the pace of the game in the second half and Bagan, who tried to play long ball to breach the rival defense, could not get clear look at the rival goal.
Dempo fielded all their four new recruits from the disbanded Pailan Arrows and tried their best to break the deadlock towards the end. They even came close to netting the ball in the dying minute, but Paul made an effective save by diving to his left to save Roberto Silva header and deny Dempo their second win.
