Dense fog occurred at many places and very dense fog at isolated place over the state, MeT department officials said here today.
Night temperatures dipped appreciably in Varanasi, Faizabad divisions and fell in Allahabad division.
It rose appreciably in Meerut and rose in Agra division and changed little in the remaining divisions of the state.
Churk was the coldest place in the state recording 6.5 degree Celsius, they said.
The MeT department has predicted that moderate to dense fog is likely at most places with dense to very dense fog at few places over the state.
