However, he said any drop out of customers from cooperative banks have not come to the notice of the government.
Replying during Question Hour, Surendran said said there was a drop of nearly 30 per cent in loan disbursement and deposits after demonetisation of Rs.1000 and Rs.500 notes in November last.
Surendran, also the Minister for Tourism, said the state had been able to achieve success in adventure tourism sector. A Kerala Adventure Tourism Society had been formed for the promotion of Thenmala Adventure park and adventure tourism in the state, he said.
In another submission, Finance Minister T M Thomas Isacc informed the assembly that government would take steps to reconstitute coir cooperatives.
'The government would provide working capital for the cooperatives directly', he said.
Coir would be procured by cooperatives and funds for the same would be disbursed at the time of procurement itself, he said adding an amount of Rs.70 crore has been earmarked for this.
