The incident, which took place in the afternoon, briefly hit train services on the Yellow Line (Line No 2).
The victim, identified as Ajay Kashyap, a resident of Sangam Vihar in south Delhi, died on the spot after being hit by the train, entering the station from the Gurgaon side at around 2.25 PM, police said.
"The man married 5-6 years ago but got separated couple of years ago. He was undergoing medication for depression," DCP Railways Sanjay Bhatia said.
"Train operations were stopped for around 10 minutes while bringing out the body and cleaning the tracks but there were no major disruptions," a metro spokesman said.
