Depression over Bay of Bengal to bring rainfall in Andaman:MeT

A deep depression over the Bay of Bengal is expected to bring heavy rainfall over the Andaman Islands in the next 24 hours, the MET department said today.
According to the Cyclone Warning Division (CWD) of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the deep depression is most likely to intensify further into a cyclonic storm during next 12 hours.
"It is most likely to move north-northeastwards and cross Myanmar coast between Sittwe and Sandoway (Myanmar) by morning of April 17," the CWD said.
Squally winds speed reaching 50-60 kmph gusting to 70 kmph would prevail over Andaman Islands and adjoining sea areas during next 48 hours and sea condition would be very rough.
Fishermen have been advised not to venture into sea along and off Andaman Islands during next 48 hours.
