Dept of Empowerment secy repatriated to Punjab

Senior bureaucrat N S Kang was today sent back to his cadre state of Punjab before completion of his central deputation tenure.
The 1983-batch Indian Administrative Service officer was Secretary in the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabine has approved the premature repatriation of Kang to his parent cadre, an order issued by Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) said.
He may be appointed the chief secretary of Punjab, a senior DoPT official said.
