Sirsa-based Dera Sacha Sauda head Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh is keen to go abroad to promote his controversial film 'Messenger of God (MSG)' and has moved the court in this regard.
Dera spokesman Aditya Insaan told PTI today that the Sect head had moved a Panchkula court seeking permission to go abroad for promotion of his upcoming film.
Besides, Gurmeet also wants to create awareness on drug addiction and prostitution, he said.
His application is likely to come up for hearing in the Panchkula court on February 10, Insaan said.
The Censor Board of Film Certification had given its clearance to the film.
The title of the film, featuring Gurmeet in the lead role, has been changed to 'MSG-The Messenger', Insaan said, adding that "there was no bar from censor board on the movie's name...It was a voluntary decision to change it".
