Dera Radha Soami sect chief pays obeisance at Golden temple

Beas-based Radha Soami sect Chief Gurinder Singh Dhillon today paid obeisance at the Golden temple here.
He almost spent nearly an hour at the historic Sikh shrine.
Clad in white kurta pyjama and black jacket, Dhillon took a round of the marbled periphery around the water pool before entering the sanctum sanctorum of the temple, a temple official said.
Dhillon after paying obeisance, spent half an hour inside the sanctum sanctorum and listened to Shabad Kirtan (religious hymns) for half-an-hour.
He also partook the 'parshad' while standing in the queue with other visiting Sikh devotees.
Retired Superintendent of Punjab Police Parmdeep Singh Teja was accompanying Dhillon. No other security personnel were with Dhillon as his visit was kept low profile.

There were clear instructions by Dhillon to his security staff that none of the security personnel would come inside while he paid obeisance.

No security arrangement was made during the visit of Dhillon by the district administration, since no information was given to any authority regarding his visit, the official said.
Dhillon has been given Z-plus security cover and his security was enhanced significantly when ADGP Security of Punjab government visited the Dera Radha Soami in Beas town to review the security arrangements.
Dera Radha Soami also known as Dera Baba Jaimal Singh at Beas town, nearly 45 km away from Amritsar, is being headed by Dhillon, having a large number of followers across the country.

Earlier in July 2010, a murder attempt on Dhillon was foiled well in time by the police in Vienna, with the arrest of four persons carrying explosives with them. Thereafter his security cover in India was enhanced significantly.
