Derailment of goods train hits train services

Train services in Rayagada and Titlagarh Railway Section were disrupted today due to derailment of a goods train between Theruvali and Rayagada under Sambalpur Railway Division of East Coast Railway.
As many as 14 wagons of the train have been derailed last night but no one was hurt in the incident, East Coast Railway (ECoR) sources said today.
As a result, some of the trains have been diverted, rescheduled, short terminated, cancelled and controlled enroute, the ECoR said in a release.
While 18108 Koraput-Rourkela Express was cancelled today, the diverted trains are 12843 Puri-Ahmedabad Express vis Vizianagaram-Duvvada, Bijaywada and Balharshah, 13351 Dhanbad-Alleppey via Titlagarh-Raipur-Nagpur and 17482 Tirupati-Bilaspur Exp via Visakhapatnam-Khurda ROAD- Angul- Sambalpur- Raipur, it said.
Similarly, 18107 Rourkela-Koraput Inter-city Express was short-terminated at Muniguda, while 18517 Korba-Visakhapatnam Express was short terminated at Korba, 18437 Bhubaneswar-Junagarh Exp at Rayagada and 18301 Sambalpur-Rayagada Exp at Kesinga, it said.
