Derailment: Operations of few trains under SECR zone affected

Operations of few trains under the South East Central Railway (SECR) zone were affected due to the derailment of Jagdalpur-Bhubaneswar Hirakhand Express between Rayagada and Vizianagaram section of Waltair division under East Cost Railway, an official said today.
"Korba-Visakhapatnam-Korba Link Express (18517/18) has been cancelled and five other trains have been diverted due to the derailment incident under the SECR zone," a senior SECR official told PTI.
As per the information received, Puri-Ahmedabad (12843) express, Ahmedabad-Puri (12844), Visakhapatnam-Nizamuddin (12807) express, Nizamuddin- Visakhapatnam (12808) express, Visakhapatnam-Kurla express (22847) have been diverted.
These trains operates through Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh, he said, adding train service hit by the derailment will be soon be resumed.

A report from Rajamahendravaram in Andhra Pradesh said the South Central Railway cancelled five trains, while four trains were short terminated and seven trains diverted because of the derailment.

Trains cancelled were: Train No 58528Visakhapatnam - Raipur Passenger, Train No 58503 Raygada-Visakhapatnam Passenger, Train No 58538 Visakhapatnam-Koraput Passengerand Train No 18309 Sambalpur-H S Nanded Nagavalli Express, a SCR release said here tonight.
Trains Short Terminated were: Train No 57271 Vijayawada-Rayagada Passenger which left Vijayawada on January 21 is short terminated at Visakhapatnam.
The train will travel back as Train No 57272 Visakhapatnam-Vijayawada, Train No 58530 Visakhapatnam-Durg Passenger which left Visakhapatnam on January 21 is short terminated at Donkinavalasa, Train No 58529 Durg-Visakhapatnam Passenger which left Durg on January 21 is short terminated at Titlagarh. The train will run back as Titlagarh-Durg.
Korba-Visakhapatnam Express is short terminated at Raigada and Koraput-Visakhaptam Passenger short terminated at Raygada.
Seven trains which were diverted are: Dhanbad-Alleppey Express which left Dhanbad on January 21 diverted to run via Titlagarh, Nagpur, Balharshah.
Hatia-Bangalore Cantonment Express which left Hatia on January 21 diverted via Titlagarh, Nagpur, Balharshah.
Puri-Ahmedabad Express which left Puri yesterday diverted to run via Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Nagpur, Ahmedabad, it added.
Chennai Central-Asansol Express which left Chennai Central yesterday diverted to run via Khurda Road, Angul, Jharsuguda.
Visakhapatnam-Hazrat Nizamuddin Samta Express which left Visakhapatnam today diverted to run via Duvvada, Vijayawada, Nagpur.
Visakhapatnam- Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express scheduled to depart Visakhapatnam today is diverted to run via Duvvada, Vijayawada, Balharshah, Nagpur.
H S Nanded-Sambalpur Nagavalli Express which left H S Nanded on January 21 is diverted to run via Khurda Road, Angul, the release said.
Meanwhile, Madurai-H Nizamuddin Tamil Nadu Sampark Kranti Express is rescheduled to run at 11 PM today, 2017, it said.
Visakhapatnam- Korba Express scheduled to depart Visakhapatnam today is cancelled while Alleppey-Dhanbad which left Alleppey yesterday is diverted to run via Vizianagaram, Palasa, Angul, Sambalpur, the release added.
