Deutsche Bank targets professionals with new savings account

Foreign lender Deutsche Bank today launched a zero balance savings account for professionals like doctors, chartered accountants, architects, lawyers and company secretaries.
The bank, which operates 17 branches in the country, is offering free cheque pick up and cash delivery at the door step for customers, it said in a release.
Users also get a 'platinum' debit card with free ATM usage, it said, adding that other benefits include preferred rates on processing fees for overdraft facility and free 'payable at par' cheque books, demand drafts and pay orders.
Account holders will also be able to transfer funds for free using the RTGS or the NEFT channels, it said.
Apart from that they can earn cash credit into the accounts for transaction, such as debit card purchases, net banking transactions and payment of EMIs under the bank's loyalty programme, it said.
