Former prime minister H D Deve Gowda on Friday met Nepal Premier K P Oli and other political leaders in the country and discussed with them bilateral ties.
Gowda met Oli at his official residence at Baluwatar and congratulated him for successfully hosting the fourth Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) Summit in Kathmandu recently.
Recalling PM Oli's official visit to India few months ago, Gowda said the visit has taken Nepal India relations to a new height.
Gowda, who arrived here on Thursday on a private visit, also met former prime ministers -- Madhav Kumar Nepal of ruling Nepal Communist Party, Sher Bahadur Deuba of Nepali Congress, Baburam Bhattarai of Nayashakti Party.
The former Indian premier also offered prayer at the Pashupatinath temple in Kathmandu.
