Develop interest in literature among youth: CM to literary org

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today urged literary bodies of the state to take steps for developing interest amongst the youth in literature and building their character which would reflect the identity of the community as a whole.
Literary bodies must fulfill the objectives of its founders and develop a system in which youths of the community become more aware about their culture, literature, tradition, abilities and resources, Sonowal said.
"Literature reflects our society and has the potential to guide youths towards building a strong character. The literary organizations, therefore, must work for generating deep interest amongst the new generation in literature", he said.
Speaking at the 57th annual session of Bodo Sahitya Sabha at Mushalpur in Baksa district, Sonowal urged the literary bodies to work for reinforcing unity and harmony amongst different communities in the state.
Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Chief Hagrama Mohilary highlighted the steps taken up by the territorial authority for promotion of Bodo language.
The session was presided over by t Bodo Sahitya Sabha president Taren Bodo.
