Devotees can go to Parasnath hill from Madhuban either by

Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said tourists and devotees can go to Parasnath hill in Giridih either by walking or on palanquin from Madhuban, an official release said.

"Motorcycle and other vehicles will remain prohibited. Old and Divyang may get permission to use district administrations vehicles in extreme situation. Apply this with immediate effect," the release said quoting the chief minister.

Das said this while reviewing restoration of Water Temple situated at Parashnath mountain and overall development of tourism at the state secretariat here.

Parasnath hills are a range of hills located in Giridih district. It is one of the most important pilgrimage centre for Jains. They call it Sammed Sikhar. The hill is named after Parasnath, the 23rd Tirthankara.

To promote and preserve tribal culture, Mangraburu Temple will also be developed according to tourism plan, he said.
