In comparison, the bank had registered a loss of Rs 131.60 crore for the fourth quarter of the previous fiscal, 2015-16.
However, the total income during the January-March quarter of 2016-17 declined to Rs 296.34 crore, as against Rs 323.98 crore in the same period a year ago, Dhanlaxmi Bank said in a regulatory filing.
Bank's gross bad loans or non-performing assets (NPAs) during the quarter under review declined to 4.78 per cent, from 6.36 per cent in the year-ago period.
For the entire financial year 2016-17, the bank posted a profit of Rs 12.38 crore, as against a loss of Rs 209.45 crore in the previous fiscal.
