"The independent auditor has raised question on Delhi Daredevils/GMR logo displayed at the Delhi airport. The auditors says the GMR Group and Delhi Daredevils are two separate entities and not part of Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL). And DIAL should treat them (display of logos) as advertisement," Aviation Ministry sources said.
"So on this premises, the auditor has expressed view that DIAL should share its revenue (generated from the display of these logos with the Airports Authority of India (AAI)," they said.
Officials of the AAI, which is part of the joint venture that manages one of India's busiest airports, could not be contacted.
The Hyderabad-based GMR Group and AAI have 74 per cent and 26 per cent holdings respectively in DIAL, along with Fraport of Germany, which holds 10 per cent.

AAI gave control of the Delhi airport to DIAL under a privatisation pact in 2006 that mandated a 46 per cent revenue share to the former under a public-private partnership.
"However, the audit has made an observation about the GMR logo being placed along with DIAL logo," DIAL said in a statement to PTI here.
