"We should not close doors of talks. Samajwadis are always in favour of good relations with neighbouring countries. However, where to show strictness and where to talk is to be decided by the Centre but talks can solve big problems," Yadav said at a function here.
The September 18 attack, in which 18 Indian soldiers were killed, has triggered a strong response from India which has reviewed the 56-year-old Indus Water Treaty (IWT), and decide to reconsider the MFN status granted by it, unilaterally, to Pakistan.
"Pakistan is formed from India. These treaties are not of now but too old. You can stop water, its in your hand. Taking back anything or war is not a solution," he said.
