Initially the facility will be made available in these two premier institutions and gradually extended to other district hospitals, Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Sham Lal Sharma said in a meeting with officials here.
Stressing the need for close coordination between various wings of the department for achieving better results, the Minister asked the officers to work hard to improve the health services in the state.
He also called for strengthening the monitoring mechanism in the department to ensure accountability and transparency in the functioning.
The Minister asked the Chief Medical Officers to give priority to the implementation of School Health Programme and provide complete health check-up and treatment to students.
He directed officials for strict implementation of PNDT Act across the state to check illegal sex determination.
The Chief Medical Officers should keep a close vigil on the activities of Ultrasound Clinics to prevent illegal sex determination, he said.
