The loss was higher than the Rs 203.85 crore the company had posted in the January-March period of the previous financial year, 2015-16.
Diamond's total income in the fourth quarter of 2016-17 was Rs 197.08 crore compared to Rs 739.39 crore in the year- ago period.
The company said in a BSE filing today that its consolidated loss was Rs 794.69 crore in 2016-17 compared to Rs 271.10 crore in the previous financial year.
The company's total income was Rs 1,163.45 crore in 2016 -17 as against Rs 2,287.29 crore in the previous fiscal.
