Lane will take on the title role in the forthcoming NBC network show "Hillary". Director Courtney Hunt will document Clinton's life as a "wife, mother, politician and cabinet member from 1998 to the present" in the script, Contactmusic reported.
The producers are yet to find an actor to play former President Bill Clinton in the four-hour long series.
"President Clinton, we haven't cast yet. We literally just closed the deals (for the show) and haven't written the script. All that will be determined," NBC President Bob Greenblatt said.
Kim's script is about a 20-something Hillary at the beginning of her career and romance with Clinton.
An annual poll of nearly 300 film executives decide their favorite scripts in the Black List. Films that have made to the list at the script level include Oscar-winners 'The Social Network' and 'The King's Speech'.
