"I have not received any (show cause) letter. I would have certainly replied had I received such a letter. I did not get any chance to express my views," Ghosh said reacting to his suspension.
Stating that Mamata Banerjee was his leader, Ghosh said that he has requested the party to form an inquiry commission. "I wanted the party to call me. I was willing to state my views. But verdict was given even before the trial," he said.
Mitra said he was hearing about suspension of his wife for the last one year, but she has not received any letter till now.
Ghosh's suspension for "anti-party activities" came barely a week after he, alongwith, two other MPs Satabdi Roy and Tapas Pal were served show-cause notices after they launched an attack on the party leadership while sharing a dais with
suspended party legislator Sikha Mitra, the wife of the dissident TMC MP Somen Mitra at a programme here recently.
