Hollywood superstar Vin Diesel may promote his upcoming film "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage" in India.
Deepika Padukone is making her debut in Hollywood with the action thriller, which will be distributed and marketed in India by Viacom18 Motion Pictures.
"xXx: The Return of Xander Cage" features Vin Diesel, Donnie Yen, Tony Jaa, Padukone and others and opens in cinema houses on January 20 in the US.
"The promotions for the film has already started. Deepika and Vin are promoting on twitter. We will start on ground promotions of the film when it is closer to release in India," Ajit Andhare, COO, Viacom18 Motion Pictures told PTI.
"In the past we had Tom Cruise here for 'Mission Impossible 4'. We are trying to get Vin Diesel here. If we get him, we will be very excited," he said.
During the release of the fourth instalment of Hollywood franchise "Mission Impossible", Tom Cruise had come to Mumbai for the premiere which also had Anil Kapoor in a cameo.
When asked if there a premiere planned in India for the film, Ajit said, "Those plans are on but they are not confirmed yet. Many countries have such plans."
"These are big films so we have big plans. It's a global film so there is demand from lot of territories (referring to on ground promotions). India has to compete with China, Japan and other territories," he said.
