"The difficult days have ended for SAIL, whose future is bright," Verma said, adding the steel company has embarked upon an expansion project worth Rs 72 crore.
The company's present production capacity was 17.5 MT and by 2025 its capacity would increase up to 50 million tonne, he told reporters here.
Touching upon Bokaro Steel Plant's current capacity of 5.77 million tonne, he said by 2025 it would go up to 16 MT and the investment for this would be Rs 50,000 crore.
